Empowered U offers a free peer supervision group (PSG). Register today:

  • Caregivers have a place to process their feelings about dealing with this serious illness in their family.

  • Caregivers begin or continue implementing FBT while in the workshop.

  • Caregivers will increase their confidence in nourishing their child at home.

  • Clients and caregivers continue to work with their outpatient treatment team while in the workshop.

  • Caregivers are introduced to Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) techniques to help their children with difficult emotions.

  • Caregivers will receive important psychoeducation about eating disorders and evidence based strategies to promote recovery.

  • Caregivers will understand potential medical complications and best medical practices to effectively communicate with their loved ones’ physician.

  • Caregivers’ use of FBT enables them to intervene before clients meet the criteria for more intensive treatment.

  • Outpatient clinicians can focus on guiding their patients’ families through the phases of treatment and feel confident that caregivers have the information they need about eating disorders and the recovery process.

  • Multifamily group support shows caregivers they’re not alone.
